Secret Eid is a lovely way to add something extra to your Eid celebration. Nearly everybody knows Secret Santa, where people draw names to surprise each other with presents at Christmas. Secret Eid is basically the same, except that it’s celebrated during Eid al-Fitr.
Secret Eid, how does it work exactly?
How does one organize an Eid gift exchange? It’s really easy. First, enter the names of everyone joining the Secret Eid celebration into the gift exchange generator. Then, everybody will receive an e-mail asking to join the gift exchange.
As soon as everyone has joined, the generator will send all the group members their drawn name. After this, people can make a wish list for their Secret Eidi. Don’t know what to ask for? Get some inspiration by sifting through our gift finder.

Family, Friends and Food
Eid al-Fitr is all about being together with family and friends. People greet each other with ‘Eid Mubarak’, which means a blessed holiday in Arabic. After prayer everyone comes together to eat and exchange gifts. It’s tradition to visit the eldest family members' home and bring sweets and gifts.
As said before, food is very important during Eid al-Fitr. The most delicious things are made to celebrate the end of the fast. Shashuka, tajine dishes, date cookies, chebakia (fried dough with honey) and lots and lots more.
Family, friends, good food and gifts. These are the ingredients for a smashing Eid al-Fitr celebration. Good luck during Ramadan and have a lovely Eid al-Fitr this year. Eid Mubarak!
